The situation
Praxiq is made by ISO specialists for small business owners who want to get their quality or environmental system in order and keep it that way, without a thick manual and without jargon.
Back then the portal was still called ISO Portal Online. Customers had been keeping their quality system in it for years, chapter by chapter. It ran on a WordPress site with a custom theme, and every change was a rebuild. Adding ISO 14001 next to ISO 9001 was close to impossible. Sign-up and payment went through separate plugins, and part of the work around them was done by hand.
The portal

We rebuilt the portal with everything it already did and a simpler way of working. A web app built for them, not a stack of plugins.
Organised the way the standard is. The chapters follow ISO's numbering, grouped into plan, do, check and act. Scope, SWOT, stakeholders, legislation, risks, objectives, internal audit and management review each have their own form and a clean reading view.
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 side by side. A company picks one standard or both, and switches between them in the portal with one click. A new standard is now an extension, not a new system.
A start page that thinks ahead. The dashboard shows how many parts are done, which deadlines are coming up and which sections haven't been updated in months. So nobody gets a surprise when the external audit comes round.

Versions per year. Last year's document moves to the archive once the new one is ready, so it is always clear what changed.
Manual and library. The quality manual lives in the portal and prints as a PDF. A company's own files sit in a private library of their own.
Sign in with a code. No password to forget: you enter your email address and get a code. Colleagues each get their own account within the same company.
Sign-up and payment
A new customer signs up online, picks the standard and a monthly or yearly plan, and pays by direct debit. The portal is ready straight away, without anyone having to lift a finger.
The price depends on the standard: one or both. Yearly customers get an email before renewal, and a separate page explains in plain words how the direct debit works and how to cancel.
The move
The customers came across with everything: their documents, files, colleagues and running subscriptions. We rehearsed the switch on a copy first, so the real one went right in one go. Customers got an email beforehand saying what would get better and when.
At the same time the portal got its new name, Praxiq, at the same address.

Getting found
- The knowledge base moved too. The articles live on the new site and the old category addresses still work, so links from search results and old emails don't end on an error page.
- Every page tells Google what it is. The company, the software per standard and the articles are described the way search engines want to read them.
- Sitemaps by type. Pages, knowledge base and legal pages each have their own sitemap, so new articles get picked up fast.
- A preview image. Shared links show the brand instead of a blank box.
What changed for them
The portal is something they can build on again: ISO 14001 went in without a rebuild, and whatever they think of next fits. New customers sign up and pay without anyone doing anything by hand. And existing customers logged in after the switch and found their work where they left it.
The same team also offers internal audits. For that we built audituitbesteden.nl.
What we keep doing
Hosting, updates and backups, SEO follow-up on the knowledge base and the standard pages, and the portal keeps growing with what the specialists and their customers need.
