Preparing people move to Spain with a new website

For many people, moving to Spain starts as an idea that slowly grows. Better weather, a different pace of life, maybe more space or a new start. But once the decision becomes serious, questions pile up quickly. Emigreren naar Spanje sounds simple, until you realise how much is involved. Rules, paperwork, taxes, healthcare, housing, and the emotional side of leaving one life behind and starting another.

That is exactly where Emigreren kun je leren comes in. Together with Hieke Voorberg and Annebeth Vis, I developed this platform to help people prepare properly for an emigratie Spanje. Not with promises or shortcuts, but with realistic information, structured courses and practical training based on real experiences.

From the start, the goal was clear: create something we would have wanted ourselves when planning a move to Spain. The platform explains what emigreren naar Spanje actually means in practice. What you need to arrange, what decisions come first, what often goes wrong and how to avoid unnecessary stress.

My role within the project is focused on the digital side. I built the website and take care of the SEO, making sure that people who are searching for information about emigratie Spanje can actually find clear and reliable answers. The content is structured around real questions, not theory, and grows with the phase someone is in: from early orientation to concrete preparation.

The courses and training are designed to give people confidence, not overload them. Participants know where they stand, what they still need to do and which topics require extra attention before moving. That sense of overview is often what people miss most when planning a move abroad.

The result is a platform that feels honest and grounded. Emigreren kun je leren does not tell people what they should do, but helps them make informed choices. It supports people who want to move to Spain with their eyes open, well prepared and aware of what emigrating really involves.
